Skeg Review - The Vine

The second review for Skeg this week - this time over at The Vine, read on for some words of wisdom from local fan Ashley Briggs.

Skeg is an independent street wear brand that has just recently exploded onto the scene early this year. Skeg has been taking its home town in Australia by storm producing threads for people that appreciate fashion with reason and meaning. I have become obsessed with this brand, nested in the subculture of skate and punk the guys at Skeg live life like there’s no tomorrow! It’s the same with their apparel. This is not a clothing line for civil fashion goers or the faint hearted.

It’s all about the bigger than life designs, colors that integrate with the whole shirt and prints so big they will make your eyes pop at the sheer detail and depth. The summer 2010 range launched early this year on the 7th of January and the collection takes a some what subdued and sinister approach, possibly due to the fact that the guys down at Skeg like to cause a stir and dare to try something new. That’s not to say that this season there isn’t some killer winners in the line up. Who can go past the “Universal” tee designed by none other than Derek Deal, this t-shirt is simply too beautiful to ignore.

They’ve managed to capture your full attention simply by producing a bold and in your face design without having to employ the typical fundamentals of neon colours or the likes. If you’ve been searching for a stand out tee to show off and impress your friends with you can go no further than this one my friends with a very limited release on all items in the Skeg range it means you will be one of the very few to ever own that shirt making it very special indeed. All cuts are unisex and printed on American Apparel clothing, quality and prestige is abound with this clothing line.

Without further ado or too much ass kissing to a brand that really has captured my own personal tastes, let’s leave it up to the pretty pictures to get you captivated and interested in some truly rad threads.
