Still Standing

So it's been quite a while since I last updated this blog so I thought it's about time I give everyone a down-low on what's been happening behind the scenes. At the moment we're currently in the process of finising the rebranding of Skeg. Steve Bonner has undergone a full branding project with us and helped put together a brand new revamped typeface and logo icon as well as framework and guidelines on how to tie together a solid brand.

Youngbloods

Confession, House Vs. Hurricane and The Amity Affliction have both recently announced tour dates for home soil. First off the list for what will surely be one of the highlights of the year is The Amity Affliction's launch tour. After finishing the recording of Youngbloods, their new, second album in New York last week with producer Machine, the band are back and plotting local domination. Orders for both the The Amity Affliction's new album 'Youngbloods' and launch tour tickets are on sale now, and moving fast from the band's website and myspace.

Watch Your Step

So I was bored the other night and made myself a design for a t-shirt. Kinda parodying the ‘Street Art Is Gay’ tee by Carrot Clothing. Just thought I’d get a one-off sweatshirt made for myself seeing as winter is on it’s way. I love making my own clothing.

Dopamine Days

About 3 months ago I saw this poster advertising a local film competition, called CAFF (Cairns Adrenaline FIlm Festival), so my friend and I got together and thought up ideas for it. We wrote it all down, got really excited, contacted some people to be in it, and planned a day to shoot it.

I Hate Hartley

The rapid rise of Brisbane sextet The Amity Affliction is certainly taking Australia by surprise having recently hit the touring circuit multiple times on and off home soil, the tour-hardened group are ready to unveil their second offering. Already having given fans the first taste of their US recording sessions with super-producer Machine and announcing yet another tour in July with Misery Signals, Confession and Flood Of Red.

Groovin The Moo - Townsville

So the weekend just passed was pretty insane. The Skeg Krew road tripped it down to the ville and caused a whole load of ruckus at Groove In The Moo. I'm pretty busy with work and other things this week but keep your eyes peeled for a full blog post about our adventures!

Meet The Krew: Jahl Herapath

Fuckk it's about time I got around to posting this. If you frequent this blog enough or follow the story behind Skeg you'll more than likely know who I am. I'm Jahl and I basically co-own and run Skeg along with my friend Zac. I have an 80's punk haircut, I like redbull and I'm addicted to facebook. I'm currently listening to Vibesquad and attempting to plan new ideas for the next range. Finishing a movie is somewhat tiresome and I'm up for a skate any day!

About Skeg

Started in the late days of 2008, Skeg was established for a generation of boys and girls who wander this plain of existence searching for some thread of reason and meaning.

Not the one to be pessimistic, Skeg encourages people to look at the bright side... with a repertoire of skate, music and fashion. So get on it, buy our stuff and spread the word!
